Why we built this list
Asia accounts for the majority of cross-border B2B sourcing decisions worldwide — and most "best B2B marketplaces" articles bury the platforms that actually matter under generic global recommendations. This list is different. It only includes platforms with meaningful supplier coverage across China, India, Korea, Vietnam, Hong Kong, or broader Asia-Pacific, and ranks them by the criteria buyers we've spoken to actually weight: verification rigour, response quality, and category depth in the region.
We sent test sourcing inquiries through every platform on this list during our most recent review cycle. Response times, reply quality, and supplier follow-through were measured directly rather than inferred from marketing claims. We've also accounted for the regional specialisations that matter — pharmaceutical sourcing from India looks very different from electronics sourcing from Shenzhen.
If you're a first-time importer, start with the top 3 picks below. If you're an experienced procurement professional looking for niche category coverage, scroll past them to the full list of 12.
Made-in-China is a sponsored listing on B2BSources but went through the same four-point editorial review as every other entry. Its position in this ranking reflects its editorial score, not its sponsorship status. We label paid placements throughout the site; you'll always know what you're looking at.
Top 3 picks for Asian sourcing
The three platforms we'd recommend without hesitation, each strongest in a different sourcing context.
For broad cross-border sourcing from China, Alibaba is the unavoidable default — and that's a recommendation, not a hedge. Scale dwarfs every competitor, Trade Assurance provides genuine buyer protection at no premium, and the Gold Supplier / Verified Supplier tiers are imperfect but meaningfully reduce risk versus unvetted listings. The platform earned its position by being the one most procurement teams already use; nothing on this list is built to replace it for general sourcing.
Cross-border buyers needing breadth of categories, scale, and Trade Assurance protection. Strongest for OEM, consumer goods, electronics, and general manufacturing.
You need pharma-grade verification (use Pharmaoffer), serious industrial OEM in North America (ThomasNet), or single-source long-term partnerships.
The serious buyer's alternative to Alibaba. Verification is rigorous — factory audits, document checks, and the hybrid online-plus-trade-show model means many suppliers have been physically vetted before they appear in the directory. Strongest for electronics, mobile accessories, fashion, and home goods. The subscription fee deters tyre-kickers on the supplier side, which raises the floor of response quality across the platform.
Established procurement teams sourcing electronics, lifestyle, or fashion goods from Hong Kong and broader Asia. Reliable signal-to-noise when verification matters.
You need the widest possible supplier pool (Alibaba's coverage is deeper), or you're sourcing in categories Global Sources hasn't specialised in.
If you're sourcing from India, IndiaMART is where you start. Category depth is unmatched within India — engineering goods, chemicals, textiles, packaging, pharmaceuticals all have meaningful supplier coverage. Verification quality is uneven (use TrustSEAL Verified status as your filter), and inquiries can attract too many lower-quality replies. Pair it with TradeIndia for broader Indian supplier coverage when running RFQs.
Sourcing from Indian manufacturers across engineering, chemicals, textiles, and pharma. SMB-to-SMB matching within India is exceptional.
You're not sourcing from India, or you need stronger platform-level verification (TrustSEAL helps but unverified long tail exists).

How we chose these 12
The methodology behind this shortlist.
Of the 47 marketplaces in the directory, only those with genuine supplier depth across one or more Asian markets qualify for this list. Global platforms that happen to list Asian suppliers but aren't built for the region (Tradewheel, Kompass) sit on the main directory; they're not here. Pure wholesale platforms primarily serving Western retailers (Faire, Ankorstore) likewise don't belong on a sourcing list.
The ranking applies our standard four-point editorial review with an Asia-specific weighting:
- Regional supplier depth. Active suppliers in the target region, not just total platform size.
- Cross-border readiness. Trade Assurance, escrow, multilingual support, and the operational infrastructure international buyers need.
- Verification rigour relative to peers. A "partial" verification on IndiaMART has a different meaning than on eWorldTrade — we score relative to platform context.
- Field test response quality. We sent live sourcing inquiries during the last review cycle. Response time, reply substance, and supplier follow-through were measured directly.
This list is refreshed monthly. New entrants are added when they reach meaningful scale; underperformers are demoted or removed. The Pepagora entry at #12 is the most recent addition — added in March 2026 after passing our field tests.
