Three ways to work with us.

Sponsorship products are deliberately limited — we'd rather sell fewer placements that work than more placements that don't. All sponsored placements are clearly labelled and editorially reviewed for accuracy before going live.

Most popular
Featured placement

Sticky-card placement at the top of directory pages and curated lists, visually distinct from editorial entries and clearly labelled as sponsored.

  • Premium positioning at the top of directory pages, category pages, and curated lists within selected industries
  • Dashed amber border + "Sponsored" badge — visually distinguishable from editorial entries
  • Same supplier card format as editorial entries — not a generic ad banner
  • Editorial team writes the placement copy (or reviews submitted copy for accuracy)
  • Monthly placement reporting — impressions, click-through, qualified traffic
Best fit for
Established marketplaces looking to increase share of buyer attention within their existing category.
Brand-level
Category sponsorship

Sponsor an entire industry category page — pharma, chemicals, textiles, etc. Branded as the page sponsor, distinct from editorial rankings within the page.

  • "Sponsored by [Brand]" header on a chosen industry category page (e.g., Pharmaceuticals)
  • Brand logo and short tagline in the category page header
  • Editorial selection within the category remains independent — sponsorship doesn't change which platforms are listed or their order
  • Quarterly category report — search volume, traffic patterns, buyer intent data
  • Exclusive sponsorship — one sponsor per category at a time
Best fit for
Industry-leading marketplaces or adjacent service providers (e.g., trade insurance, freight forwarding, regulatory consultants) targeting the entire category audience.
Tailored
Custom partnerships

For arrangements outside standard sponsorship — bulk listings, content licensing, co-marketing, or event partnerships. Discussed and scoped individually.

  • Bulk supplier listings on marketplace categories — multiple platforms onboarded together with editorial review
  • Editorial content licensing — buyer guides, methodology, or comparison content republished in industry publications
  • Co-marketing with industry events, trade publications, or research firms
  • Custom research commissioned by category sponsors — survey data, market intelligence, sector-specific reports
  • Editorial integrity terms apply — no arrangement that compromises independent review
Best fit for
Trade associations, industry publications, event organisers, research firms, or marketplaces wanting non-standard engagement.

What sponsored looks like, side by side with editorial.

Sponsored placements are deliberately visually distinct from editorial entries. Buyers should be able to tell at a glance which entries paid for visibility and which were editorially selected. Two real examples from how our directory pages display.

Sponsored placement
Visual cues: Dashed amber border, "Sponsored" badge in amber, subtle background tint. Same card structure as editorial entries — but never confused with them at a glance.

The B2BSources reader.

B2BSources readers are sourcing professionals — procurement managers, importers, distribution buyers, regulatory affairs teams. Reading the directory typically signals active sourcing intent, not passive research. Detailed audience data is in the media kit.

The directory's content concentrates in buyer-led sourcing workflows — buyer guides, marketplace reviews, comparison pages, region-by-region sourcing context. Readers arrive via search queries like "best B2B marketplace for [category]", "[marketplace] alternatives", "[marketplace] vs [marketplace]", and similar high-intent search patterns.

Detailed traffic data, demographic breakdowns, and engagement metrics — including readership by country, industry, and reader role — are documented in the media kit available on request. We don't publish them on this page because they're updated more frequently than the page itself.

What sponsorship does and doesn't buy.

The most important page on this site for sponsors to read carefully. Sponsorship buys specific, defined visibility products — not editorial influence. The constraints below are non-negotiable.

What sponsorship does buy
  • Featured placement in clearly-labelled sponsored slots, with dashed amber visual treatment
  • Category-level sponsorship with branded header on chosen industry pages
  • Custom partnership scopes for bulk listings, co-marketing, or content licensing
  • Reporting on placement performance — impressions, click-through, qualified traffic
  • Account management for placement timing, creative review, and renewal discussions
What sponsorship doesn't buy
  • Changes to editorial verdicts, "best for / skip if" framing, or marketplace review content
  • Improved verification tier (Verified suppliers / Mixed verification / Self-listed) — based on actual platform practices, not sponsorship
  • Higher placement in editorial rankings on curated lists, comparison pages, or category recommendations
  • Editor's Choice or "Rising" badges — those have defined criteria, applied independently
  • Faster or favourable editorial review for inclusion — submission goes through the same process regardless of sponsorship intent
  • Removal or softening of negative review content — corrections are factual only, not editorial
The terms are written this way deliberately. Sponsors who can accept these constraints are a fit for B2BSources. Sponsors who can't aren't. We'd rather decline a sponsorship than compromise the editorial position that makes the directory worth advertising in. Documented in full on the methodology page.

Sponsor questions

Common questions from marketplace operators and brands evaluating sponsorship.

How much does sponsorship cost?
Pricing is in the media kit. We don't publish rates publicly because they depend on placement type, duration, category competitiveness, and exclusivity terms — and pricing changes often enough that a static page wouldn't be accurate. Request the media kit via the form above or by emailing partnerships@b2bsources.com and you'll receive current rates within 2 working days.
Can sponsorship help my marketplace get accepted for editorial inclusion?
No. Editorial inclusion and sponsorship are completely separate. A marketplace can pay for sponsorship and still be rejected for editorial inclusion if it doesn't meet the criteria. Equally, a small unsponsored marketplace can be accepted if it meets the standards. The editorial review process is identical regardless of sponsorship status — this is the editorial firewall in practice.
Will my sponsored listing be reviewed by your editorial team?
Yes. Every sponsored placement goes through editorial review for accuracy — we check that claims in the placement copy match the marketplace's actual practices. If a sponsored placement makes claims we can't verify (e.g., "verified suppliers" when verification is partial), we either flag for correction or decline the placement. The editorial integrity standard applies regardless of payment.
What if I want to sponsor but my marketplace isn't listed yet?
Sponsorship requires an editorial listing first. The order is: submit your marketplace via the submission form for editorial review, get accepted, then discuss sponsorship. We don't take sponsorship from platforms that haven't been editorially reviewed — buyers wouldn't be able to evaluate the sponsored entry in context without the underlying review.
Can I sponsor a competitor's category page or comparison page?
Category sponsorship is at the category level — sponsoring "Pharmaceuticals" means you're sponsoring the page audience, not influencing which marketplaces are featured. Comparison pages (e.g., Pharmaoffer vs PharmaCompass) aren't sponsorable — they're editorial content. We've found that allowing competitor comparisons to be sponsored creates conflicts of interest that aren't worth the revenue.
How is sponsorship performance reported?
Featured placements get monthly reporting on impressions, click-through rate, and qualified traffic (sessions, time on site after click). Category sponsorships get quarterly reports with the same metrics plus category-level audience insights. Custom partnerships have reporting defined in the partnership scope. Reports are sent automatically — sponsors don't have to ask.
Are non-marketplace brands (logistics, insurance, etc.) eligible to sponsor?
Yes, for category sponsorships and custom partnerships. Logistics providers, trade insurance brands, freight forwarders, regulatory consultants, and similar services targeting B2B sourcing audiences are typical sponsors. Featured placement is reserved for marketplaces in the directory — but adjacent brands have plenty of other ways to engage. Email us to discuss.
